Best Father's Day Bacon Breakfasts

Since being able to work with my friends at Cafe Appliances I love that I have been able to show my domestic side. I actually love cooking and trying new recipes. My husband likes it too :) Most holidays where I want to celebrate Mikey Mike will involve me cooking.Since Father's Day is coming up I decided to make Mike a bacon themed Father's Day breakfast. What man doesn't like bacon?  Even Creed loves bacon! Of course I searched Pinterest for the most delicious bacon recipes I could find.I started with pancakes because Mike loves pancakes. The griddle on my Cafe gas range has changed the game for pancakes. I'm so happy that I can finally get rid of my old electric griddle.  I also found an amazing recipe for brown sugar bacon...Pinterest calls it Millionaire bacon.  I also made a bacon frittata. If you're not familiar with frittata its basically a c rustless quiche. Were huge fans of frittata over here so I whipped a frittata up because its so easy and delicious. The timer on my oven has made my life so much easier! You literally set the timer and when the time goes off you get a alert on your phone! Thats next level!Below are the recipes I used to create this sweet bacon breakfast.Millionaire's Bacon

  • 1 tbsp Black pepper, fresh ground
  • 1 cup Brown sugar, packed light
  • 5 tsp Cayenne
  • 1 lb of thick cut bacon
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Place a wire rack on a foil lined baking sheet. Arrange the bacon on the wire rack and sprinkle with the cayenne pepper, crushed red pepper and black pepper. Lightly pat the brown sugar on top of the bacon to create a thin layer.
  3. Transfer the baking sheet to the oven and bake for 30-40 minutes or until the brown sugar has melted and the bacon is crisp.
  4. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 10 minutes.
  5. Eat and become a millionaire...I guess!
Easy FritattaMaking a frittata is so easy! This is the formula that I use.
  • 6 Eggs
  • 1/4 cup of Extra heavy whipping Cream
  • 1 cup of cheese
  • 2 cups of meat and veggies of your choice (I used bacon, spinach, tomatoes, garlic, thyme, onion)
    1. Preheat your oven to 350.
    2. In a large, oven-proof skillet,  fry 4 slices of bacon until crispy. Remove bacon, and let rest on paper towels.
    3. Reserve 3 tbsp of the bacon grease in the skillet and adjust the stove heat to medium. You can substitute olive oil instead of bacon grease if you'd like, but if you use olive oil make sure to season the veggies with a pinch of salt and pepper in the next step.
    4. Sauté the diced onion in the skillet for a minute, stirring to get browned, and then add the bell pepper and cook an additional 4 minutes.
    5. Add the spinach 2 cups at a time to the skillet, stirring until it begins to wilt. This looks like a lot of spinach, but it will wilt down.
    6. In a separate medium-sized bowl, crack 6 large eggs and add the milk, shredded cheese, ¼ tsp salt and ¼ tsp pepper. Whisk until combined, and pour the mixture into the skillet with the veggies. Crumble the bacon, and add it back to the pan.
    7. Stir once to make sure everything is evenly spread among the egg mixture.
    8. Let cook 5 minutes, or until the edges of the frittata start to pull away from the sides of the skillet.
    9. Transfer to the preheated oven for 18 minutes, until completely set and slightly golden.

Love the built-in Keurig in my Cafe Appliances refrigerator.
