Creed's Bedtime Routine

Special thanks to Pampers for sponsoring this conversation. As always, all opinions are my own.Creed has never been the baby that won’t stay asleep through the night.  He has slept through the night since he was a newborn. We would even sometimes have to wake him up so that he could eat every two hours! Now I would say that God just loves us whole lot -- he does, but I think it has a lot to do with his bedtime routine. I'll share some of my tips and tricks that might be helpful for you and your little one(s).Nighttime RoutinePlay TimeI would feel bad if Baby Creed didn’t get a little bit of playtime before bed. This also gives us time to clean up the dinner mess. I feel like when he has his final playtime of the day it’s more wild and exhausting than normal because he knows what's coming next.Bath TimeWe start bath time about an hour before bed. Creed loves to play in the water and won’t accept a bath that lasts less than 30 minutes. I don’t mind because he is just letting off more steam. I swear, sometimes it seems like someone has given him a shot of espresso. His bath always ends with a splash attack. By the end I'm soaking wet. Weirdly enough, I found he’s trying to splash so much that water get’s in his mouth. Eww.Diaper TimeAfter our bath I massage his little legs and feet with lotion. I find that really helps to relax him. He actually really loves that part too. We then put on his Pampers Baby Dry Diapers. They are the newest addition in the Pampers line and they are unbelievable! He wears  Pampers Cruisers during the day but we started using the Baby Dry Pampers because they offer 12-hour leakage protection for his sleeps. They have a wide Ultra-Absorb center and extremely flexible sides.  Staying dry overnight has been a struggle in the past. Almost every night Creed was waking up with wet clothes. Babies can pee up to 12x more when asleep at night so it’s helpful to be able to rely on a diaper you can trust to prevent against leaks.Song TimeWe do read to Creed occasionally but mostly earlier in the day because that’s when he enjoys it the most. However, he does love a song and that's a sure way to relax him and put him to sleep. His favorites are the ABC’s and Jesus Loves Me.Goodnight TimeCreed also has a a nightlight glow machine which also plays different sounds. The rain has always been his fave. When he hears that rain falling he knows for sure It is time to go to sleepy townI hope this read was helpful.  For more information visit pampers.com and take the pampers #sleptlikethis quiz to learn about your babies sleep personality.
