My Hair Journey with Pantene

This Post is Sponsored By Pantene. All opinions are my own.

Pantene Hair Care is such an important part of my self-care routine now. It has always been a “thing” in my life. One memory I have is of my mom doing my hair every Sunday night while she watched her recorded episodes of All My Children. My hair was so long that it would take hours to wash, detangle and style it.Since I am biracial (black and Jewish), it was a different experience for my mom to tackle my hair.  It was definitely a task for her. She was always looking for products that would work on my hair texture and to lighten the load of detangling and styling.Fast forward to now! Hair trouble is still a thing around here. I have been in the process of restoring my hair for the past 9 months. I went through a phase of bleaching my hair completely white. Some hair can handle that type of processing, but mine simply could not!  Found out the hard way. It was so damaged that it started breaking at the first sign of a comb. It was devastating. I toned it down a bit now, but I really needed to start restoring my hair to a healthier state. At the beginning of quarantine, I decided that it was the perfect time to really jump start this process. I thought about cutting my hair but I chickened out and wanted to see what some tender love and care would do for it first. I decided to limit heat and to stop putting bleach on my hair for starters. It's also really important to be mindful of the products I use. Staying away from sulfates and phosphates. Also making sure to use products that keep my hair moisturized. The Pantene Nutrient Blends Collection helps to restore my hair to the best hair it can be. I've been using the Fortifying Damage Repair Shampoo and Conditioner with Castor Oil and the restoring serum. As you may know, castor oil is used in many cultures to strengthen and repair hair. The Nutrient Blends Collection is sourced with ingredients from all over the world and has products free of dyes, mineral oil, sulfates, silicones and parabens.  I've already noticed a pretty big difference in the overall life and vitality of my hair. Even did a few stories where a gloated a little bit on how healthy my hair is looking. This restoring collection is available at Kroger! So yes, the hair journey indeed never ends, but I'm definitely excited about where I've come and so glad to have found products to accelerate this process.
