My Baby Shower
Baby Shower dreams do come true! You guys know I have already had my fair share of showers. This one made #4! I've been so overwhelmed with joy, happiness and love this last few months and it's so fun to take y'all along on this journey.Well this shower is pretty much my Pinterest pins come to life. I gathered ideas from all types of pins, insta screenshots and a number of other sources to make this happen. Of course, I had the help of my awesome friends and family! You guys know who you are... very grateful for you guys!About the DecorWe started by gathering up all of my mother-in-law's china and centered the theme around that. I'm not a huge fan of blue but it was perfect for the occasion. I added a modern touch with black and white striped linens. I'm all about that stripe life! The biggest element that we incorporated was the BABY wall. I ordered the styrofoam letters from eBay. For those who want to recreate something like this, these letters were 30 inches tall. I bought a bunch of artificial flowers from our local craft store. I originally ordered the flowers online but I was tricked... they were miniature flowers (insert eye roll). I still used them but I did have to supplement with larger ones. I used about 500 miniature flowers and 150 large flowers from the craft store. I had a really busy week so my friend put them together for me. My poor husband had the task of finding the wall (which is essentially a turf curtain) and figuring out how to hang the letters on it. I usually figure those things out but I didn't feel like doing it this time #spoiled. After he successfully hung these he told me he broke the "B" in half while hanging it, lol. He fixed it thankfully right before the shower began.I went with a naked cake because I didn't want a traditional baby shower cake. I bought the topper on etsy and my cousin added fresh flowers (she also arranged all the flowers). It tasted just as good as it looked. I had a vendor I found on IG make the fondant C's and then we got store bought cookies and stuck them right on them.I placed my maternity pics on the tables in dollar frames from Walmart! It was a nice touch. My mother took all of them with the frames back to LA with her lol. Maternity shoot blog post coming!!About My LookI had three different options to wear for this shower (I'll do a blog post on those) but I obviously went with this printed dress from Boohoo because the pattern was so identical to the china.[showshopthepostwidget id="1947664"]
