Scottsdale Vacation!!
It’s been a minute since Mike and I got away without the kids. We were long overdue. I didn’t get my Hawaii getaway but Scottsdale was a great compromise (for now). I decided to write a quick blog for you guys and give you the trip, outfit and restaurant deets you have been asking for. We did a poll on instagram of where we could domestically and ended up choosing this place based off of a recommendation from a friend.
Where we stayed: Sanctuary at Camelback Mountain Resort and Spa – Loved the hotel but I didn’t love our room. I’m assuming because we booked late and there wasn’t much availability. I asked to change rooms and there was nothing available (of course because its spring break). If you do decide to book there make sure you get one of the camelback mountain view rooms…not spa casita. They face the parking lot or no view at all.
The Sanctuary has a secluded vibe but in a central location. I can see why celebs hang out there. The only time we saw people was at the pool…which had great food service! Also the only infinity pool in the area. In terms of service, definitely 5 star service. Everyone was very nice and acomodating. I also did appreciate that it was close proximity to shopping and restaurants. It definitely gave exclusive resort vacay vibes! Also the food was 5 star..which is important.
What I wore – Fashion To Figure Casual Set Top(wearing size 1) / Bottom (wearing size 2) Shoes – Hermes Sandals (don’t reccomend for wider feet). very narrow
What I wore – Anthropoplogie Set (wearing size 20. should have sized down because top and skirt were a little big)
Headband – Lele Sadoughi X Blaire Eadie Collection. Launches April
Went to Four Seasons for lunch to check it out. It’s a totally different vibe. Very family friendly, I really liked there were activities for kids available. The hotel is off of the beaten path. One of those resorts you don’t really leave. It has more restaurants (I believe 4 restaurants) and a couple pools. It was very scenic and just beautiful. Food was great at the restaurant we tried. If we go back we might stay at the Four Seasons….
Where we ate:
Toca Madera– Very lively atmosphere. Some reviews were saying it is too loud but we didnt think so….but it was also a thursday night. It was the type of place where you can put on your freakum dress and not be out of place. If you ever wonder what to wear somewhere, check the location on IG. I’m glad I checked because I wasn’t planning on bringing the green dress but once I looked at their IG, I felt it was appropriate, lol. The most important thing was that the food and service was great. Def more of a party vibe. great for birthday/bachelorette parties! The girl gang would most def eat this place upppp!!
What I wore – FTF dress (wearing size 1)
Cafe Monarch – One of the nicest places Ive eaten at. Was also the most expensive, lol. When we arrived here, you couldn’t tell me that this restaurant wasn’t from Bridgerton and I was Dutchess Rochelle. All jokes aside it was a very classy place filled with a vintage English regal like atmosphere decor-wise. Of course with all of this comes a hefty price. Very pricey. They had a pre-fixed menu which You can choose between a 4 course or 8 course meal. We chose the 4 course meal and it was absolutely delicious. They do have a dress code and they did call us to make sure we knew about it.
What I wore – White Eloquii suit Blazer / Pants / Belt (wearing size 100)
Elements (our hotel)- Food was great. We ate breakfast here every morning and it was lovely and we always had great servers. When we came for dinner on our last night, service was ok. Im going to give a pass on service because it was late. I was also dehydrated so I couldn’t really eat much and I was ready to go when I got there, lol. So it probably was a darling place and my review is of course bias due to the circumstances that involved me not feeling well. It was still a cute place and prob was amazing to someone else.
What I wore – Pink Metallic Faux Leather Moto Jacket and Pants (unfortunately It is not available)
