3 Elements of a Great Business Casual Look

Hey guys, I hope you all are having a great New Year! I'm just getting into the swing of things. The New Year definitely motivates me to get certain things done (like tidying up) but not actual work, haha. For when you do get that "back to work" attitude you might need a really cute business casual look. Well I have a couple tips for keepin your casua work looks office appropriate.[showshopthepostwidget id="3450426"]Dark DenimMy general rule of thumb when it comes to the workplace is to keep your denim as dark as possible. A light wash is perfect for the weekend or vacay. I can just imagine a pair of light wash jeans with a crop top or a sheer duster. Not exactly office appropriate. Dark denim is just a bit dressier and you tend to look more put together. I am wearing a pair of denim from warp and weft and they are so comfy. I really like a distressed denim and these had the right amount of distressing for my taste. They also have a good amount of stretch.Blazer BusinessI love to add a blazer when dressing up denim.  You instantly look chic but not like you're trying too hard.  When I was working in a traditional office my closet was filled with blazers. They are just great to have in different prints and colors. I love this plaid one from Eloquii because it is a bit longer -- I'm all about that.Perfect BlouseThis pussybow blouse from madewell (check out their plus sizes if you harven't yet) was perfect to pair with this blazer.  Adding a blouse like this or even and clean white shirt looks crisp and profesh.[showshopthepostwidget id="3450426"]
